Sage was nearly playing a fiddle when she arrived on the scene May 23, 1996. At age 2, she began sawing her 1/8 size fiddle while Mason fiddled his tunes around the house. During the next couple of years, Sage would begin classical violin lessons and play her two favorite songs for every occasion. Mason and Sage got a little brother on April 20, 1999. In 8 months, Baruch (pronounced bare'-uk ) would be walking before he could crawl. This kept everybody busy, especially mom, running around behind him to catch him if he fell. Baruch was all boy and when he wasn't running after Mason and Sage, he was playing with cars, trucks, and a little plastic guitar. Little did Levi know when he was born on May 2, 2002, plans were already being made for his role in a bluegrass band. He was the fourth to arrive and had two choices for bluegrass instrument, upright bass or banjo. Watching Levi dance in the play pen as he enjoyed bluegrass music led to much speculation, but, the banjo seemed to excite Levi the most. Levi is having fun with his miniature 5 string banjo as he sings along with Sage and Baruch. Read more ... |

Born March 15, 1989, Mason waited "6 long years" before beginning his musical endeavors. At age 6, he began classical violin lessons and demonstrated a natural ability. Two years later, he was performing at recitals, socials and coffee shops. Mason enjoyed entertaining crowds. It wasn't long, though, before fiddle instinct started taking over. The family trips to Fiddler's Conventions and Bluegrass Festivals became opportunities for Mason to play bluegrass style fiddle. Read more ... |
